Just about Golf

It may seem like child’s play, but golf is one of the most difficult games to master. The speed of the club head making an impact with the ball determines where the ball will go. Hitting a golf ball straight and true has nothing to do with swinging the club hard. Instead, it is balance, coordination and the ability to shift one’s weight from back leg to front that gives a ball accuracy and distance. Of course, there is much more that goes into improving your golf game than just those aspects of the golf swing.

It can be daunting when starting as there is so much to remember. Take time to practice and go to the driving range to help improve teeing off. As you look at the golf course, you may see other players and think “Will I ever get to that level”? Remember, everyone is different, and we are not all set up to be professionals. You should go out to do your best and bring in the best possible score, but most of all, take home the enjoyment of the day.

To arm yourself to be a skilled golfer, you should pay attention to the following steps: Your swing needs to be strong but loose at the same time. You don’t want to force anything. Don’t loft the ball too high when it’s windy. Your ball won’t travel as far, or it could even go in the wrong direction! Swing smoothly and confidently, with just a short pause at the top of your swing to get yourself into a good rhythm. The significance of a good rhythm and stable balance being key in making your golf swing as successful as possible cannot be overstated. Remember to use your whole body, not just your arms and wrists. You’ll gain a good deal more power if you can get your entire body into your golf swing. The goal of the game is to get the ball into the hole using as few strokes as possible. Along with exercise, the key to achieving the perfect golf swing technique is to practice regularly while using the correct form.
